Multiple Services, One Team
CIC is part of the Scott Rice group of companies that provide a “one-stop shop” for the complete lifecycle of your space needs. All services for your project are provided by our employees, allowing our team greater control of your project schedule and labor management. As a result, we can easily pivot and respond to project changes.
CIC was established in 1979 as the installation division for Color Art Furniture. Shortly thereafter, the company expanded its services to include general contracting and renovation. Today, CIC operates across 23 states in the Midwest and Southeast. With a strong commitment to diversity, experience, and expertise, the CIC team offers valuable insight, advice, and effective solutions to ensure the success of our clients.
Strategic Planning
Exceptional planning and management by our team is possible because of our depth of experience and ability to anticipate, react and plan based on that expertise.
Projects, especially those within occupied buildings, require extensive collaboration, transparency, planning, coordination, and trust. Successful project outcomes don’t happen by chance; they are the result of strategic, proactive planning and communication.
Coordination & Communication
The team will manage, supervise, and coordinate all aspects of this construction project, ensuring our clients are fully informed of decisions in a timely, responsive manner. Careful attention to planning and scheduling by our team minimizes disruption for this project. Movement of materials and construction activities will be carefully executed to minimize disruption to building operations. Material movement plans with specific routes of access and egress will be developed and the building management team consulted, as necessary.
Regular coordination meetings ensure all team members and stakeholders understand the project requirements, means and methods, logistics, critical tasks, schedule parameters and cycle of inspections.
The team, lead by our Project Superintendent, will work collaboratively with stakeholders to manage the project through these regular activities:
- Project tasks updated weekly to confirm the project is on track or to make adjustments to maintain the schedule as planned.
- Updates to incorporate bid packages, change orders and client needs.
- Weekly reviews with subcontractors to monitor progress.
As a facilities manager, I have several projects going at all times. I rely on quality consultants with a strong work ethic to complete projects on time, with-in budget and with little to no disruption to our staff, I was very satisfied with the work Scott Rice did on this project and would highly recommend them for any flooring project.
