Our Approach

In the past few years, workplaces have been in the spotlight more than ever. How do we work? Where do we work? What environment works best for people? There has been no greater shift in our workforce in the past hundred years than since 2020, and our philosophy around design has followed suit. The modern workplace needs to be everything—a place to collaborate and a place to focus, a place to engage and a place to find respite. At Scott Rice, our team works with you to create spaces that foster collaboration, creativity and productivity for your business. We design, innovate and construct from a holistic perspective, reimagining the experience of work along with your needs and the shifting culture.

Transform Your Office

We create high-performing social areas within offices. These areas encourage interaction, idea sharing and teamwork, leading to increased morale and productivity among employees.

Fostering Innovation

We also focus on creating innovation centers within workplaces. These spaces are designed to spark creativity, encourage experimentation and promote collaboration across teams. By incorporating flexible workspaces and creative zones, we aim to nurture a culture of innovation and problem-solving.

Creating Spaces for Success

We recognize the importance of providing inspiring spaces for work. Work cafes, for instance, offer a relaxed yet productive setting for employees to work, meet or take a break. Our approach to designing these spaces ensures a balance of comfort, functionality and aesthetics, enhancing the overall work experience for your team. In our design approach, we focus on various types of spaces tailored to different needs:

  • Social Spaces: Flexible areas that blend shared and individual experiences, creating a sense of community and belonging.

  • Learning Spaces: Adaptable environments designed to facilitate both in-person and remote learning experiences for groups of any size.

  • Personal Spaces: Spaces designed for both individual focus and group collaboration, allowing people to adjust their privacy and comfort as needed.

  • Collaboration Spaces: Versatile environments equipped with mobile tools and technology to support teams, whether they're working together in person or remotely.

Ecosystem of Spaces

Employees no longer walk into an office and sit at a cubicle for nine hours. Office environments are now composed of an ecosystem of spaces where people collaborate, gather resources, relax, brainstorm or hold meetings. At Scott Rice, we utilize intentional interior design to comprehend the needs of your business and the patterns of your employees. Through this understanding, we create an office ecosystem that is customized to align with your objectives and culture. The result is a flexible workplace design that can adapt and evolve over time.

Intentional Interior Design

We specialize in interior design that goes beyond looks to understand your business and employees. This expertise lets us create office spaces tailored to your goals and culture.

(Scott Rice) got creative with ideas of how we could scale it back and work with our budget. She mapped out everything we had and considered how many people we needed to fit, how many offices we needed. She knew exactly how to repurpose everything. Another vendor may have come in and said that it’s not going to work with a new look, but she utilized everything that we had already purchased knowing that meant something to us.
